It's been nearly 20 years since Karl Bartos left KW, the pioneering band that back in the mid 1970s laid the foundations for today's electronic music scene. The music Bartos makes as a solo artist is in many ways similar to what KW was doing when he was part of it, from 1975 to 1991. Although Bartos' more recent material strolls somewhere between synth pop and electronic experimentation, it is quite reminiscent of KW's robotized electro pop sound with a heavy use of vocoder. And all that is enhanced with videos projected on a screen, turning a show by Bartos and accompanying musicians into a fully fledged sound and video performance. The musician is also known for his interest in interactivity during his live shows, and those who show up for the concert may also expect to become participants of the concert at some point.
